Jonathan Leung D.O.,F.A.A.P.M.R.

Dr. Jonathan Leung is a board certified physician in the field of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Dr. Leung is one of few medical doctors who also holds a license to practice Acupuncture. From his experience and training, he has seen that Eastern Medicine (Acupuncture) can produce excellent results, especially when administered as a compliment to traditional western medicine.  Dr. Leung is an advocate of Acupuncture because of it's minimal side effects and efficacy with pain management.

 

In addition to treating patients with Acupuncture, he will also administer joint injections and utilize electrodiagnostic testing when necessary.  Dr. Leung is an advocate for non-narcotic pain management.   He is a dedicated physician that seeks to provide patient-centered care through a customized approach.

 

Dr. Leung completed his medical school training at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Old Westbury, New York in 2003.  He subsequently completed his Residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Upon graduating he obtained his board-certification through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR).   He holds a New York State License in Medicine and Surgery along with a license to perform Acupuncture in the State of New York.

 

Dr. Jonathan Leung is a Clinical Instructor at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan. He maintains a hospital affiliation with New York Downtown Hospital.  He is a current member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R), New York County Medical Society (NYCMS), Chinese American Independent Practice Association (CAIPA). Chinese American Medical Society (CAMS) and Association of Chinese American Physicians (ACAP)

Ching Sum Leung M.D.,F.A.A.P.M.R.

Dr. Ching Sum Leung M.D., F.A.A.P.M.R. is also a board certified physician in the field of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. He is longest practicing Physiatrist in Chinatown, New York and the orginal founder of C.S.Leung Rehabilitation Medicine.  He is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.   With over 18,000 patients treated successfully, he is undoubtedly one of the most experienced Physiatrist in the New York City area.

 

Dr. Leung completed his medical school training at the National Defense Medical Center, Taipei, Taiwain.  He subsequently completed his Residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Long Island Jewish-Jamaica Hospital.  He has obtained his board-certification through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR).  He holds a New York State License in Medicine and Surgery along with a license to perform Acupuncture in the State of New York.
